New Issue of IJRL

The latest issue of the International Journal of Refugee Law (IJRL) has been published. Contents of vol. 29, no. 3, Oct. 2017 include:

  • Refugees or Border Residents from Myanmar? The Status of Displaced Ethnic Kachins and Kokangs in Yunnan Province, China [open access]

Note that two articles are open access - a first for IJRL!

Also included are case law summaries, three book reviews and the texts of three UNHCR documents: 1) Note on Legal Considerations for Cooperation between the European Union and Turkey on the Return of Asylum Seekers and Migrants; 2) Legal Considerations on the Return of Asylum Seekers and Refugees from Greece to Turkey as Part of the EU–Turkey Cooperation in Tackling the Migration Crisis under the Safe Third Country and First Country of Asylum Concept; 3) Legal Considerations on Refugee Protection for People Fleeing Conflict and Famine Affected Countries.
